This is the architect rendering of the future Chopin Monument in the Chopin Garden in Chicago's Grant Park at Michigan Avenue and 11th Street.

This statue of Fryderyk Chopin in Grant Park will be a 5/8 replica of the iconic monument of Chopin that stands in Warsaw's Royal Baths Park. The statue was designed in 1907 by Waclaw Szymanowski who was deeply influenced by Romanticism and Art Nouveau. These artistic movements were characterized by their expressive and emotional forms that are inspired by nature. The statue's design is symbolic with the prominent stylized weeping willow over Chopin's seated figure with the branches meant to represent the his hand and fingers.
