Autumn Concert

On Saturday, October 3rd 2016, the Chicago Chopin Foundation held an Autumn Concert at the Chopin Garden in Grant Park to conclude the concert season. Our talented pianist, Dr. Jonathan Fang, dressed in a full tuxedo, graced our guests with a 40 minute program of Chopin compositions full of emotional power. The concert attracted many tourist enjoying the park to have a listen and enjoy delicious paczki with marmalade. We enjoyed a seasonable fall day with sunshine in a clear sky which made for a pleasant and joyous atmosphere. Our friends and partners from the Grant Park Conservancy joined us in the celebrations.

Prior to the concert, dozens of volunteers participated in landscape improvements to the garden by spreading mulch, planting flowers, gathering litter and watering. The gardeners enjoyed getting their hands dirty in the garden knowing they are cultivating something special. Next year, the garden will be more beautiful than ever.

The Chicago Chopin Foundation is very pleased and proud of our Autumn Concert for it advance the three primary goals of our mission which are to activate the site with cultural, beautify the garden and raise funds for the Chopin Monument. The event accomplished all three.

We dearly thank everyone who contributed there time, energy and presence that made this event a great success.
